- I really enjoyed John Clayton's new book. Full of local flavor and history. You can really hear John's voice come through in his writing. Hows that John? I still maintain that Ken Kesey's "Sometimes a Great Notion" is a great American novel. A little hard reading at the start, but you soon figure it out. It is about a logging family in the Northwest.
